  5. Continue with this procedure by choosing “POP3” and hit the “Next” button.
  6. Mark the check box which says “Manually Configure server settings or additional server types” and hit the “Next” button.
  7. Select the option “Internet E-mail” and click on the “Next” button.

  9. Enter “pop.charter.net” in the “Incoming mail server (POP3)” field.
  10. After that enter “smtp.charter.net” in the “Outgoing mail server (SMTP)” field.

  12. Hit the button titled “More Settings”. Mark the check box that says “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” and click on the radio button titled “Use same settings as my incoming mail server“.
  13. Go to the tab titled “Advanced” and mark the check box that says “This sever requires an encrypted connection (SSL)” located under “Incoming Server (POP3)”.

  14. Assign “110” as your “Incoming server” port number.
  15. Assign “25” as your “Outgoing server” port number and hit the “Ok” button.
  16. Click on the button labeled “Test Account Settings” and select the “Close” button.
