Set up Bigpond email with Outlook email setup

First of all, launch the program, click on “Tools”, then “Account settings. Now, click the “Email” tab and then “New”. You will see a radio button labeled “Microsoft Exchange”, POP3, IMAP or HTTP” and click “Next.”Put a check mark in the box next to “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” and click “Next.”

The next step in the Outlook email setup process is to enter the necessary account details in the respective fields.

  • Your name: This name will appear on outgoing mails
  • Email address: Enter your full Bigpond email address
  • Account type: POP3
  • Incoming mail server: mail.bigpond.com
  • Outgoing mail server: mail.bigpond.com
  • User name: Enter your full Bigpond email address
  • Password: Enter your full Bigpond account password
Now, you can test your account to confirm that your Outlook email setup process was successful. Do you see the “Test Account Settings” button?
